How I will Lose 20 lbs in 30 Days

By o2smedia | Feb 23, 2009

ok so I weighed in at 217 and i want to be at 200 quickly.  100% legit no pills or stupid $9.99 sale pitch page to buy acai berry! this is how i will do it!

I will wake up daily to run 2.5-3 miles and then hit-up the gym for 1 hr of elliptic machine, which burns about 800-1000 calories. then  avoid carbs and stick to veggies and protein.  At night I will be training as always at the karate studio.

By the time i get home  i will have my strawberry banana smoothie and nothing else before bed.

So the idea is 3,500 calories  =  1lbs so if daily we burn about 2000 calories naturally I have to lose 1,500 calories per day.

I can eat anything as long as I keep the calorie intake below 1000 so if all goes as planned out and what i have n excel I should drop almost 1lbs per day!

p.s. that is not me in the picture!

That’s a dangerous weight loss goal. 10 lbs in 1 month is the recommended maximum weight loss to not stress your heart.

Your body will probably go into starvation mode and try to conserve energy by dramatically slowing down your metabolism. But good luck with that. If it works, let us know.

it’s really not that hard..just not a norm. I dont fall under normal when it comes to trainging. To many years of insane martial arts drills. The body is allot stronger then people assume. I’ve had my heart rate at 200bpm and breathing normal as if it were nothing while running.

Check your numbers on the elliptical. 800-1000 calories seems very optimistic.

Your goal is doable, though only if you do it by working out to create your caloric deficit. Don’t starve yourself.

Well I am basing the calorie burn on what the machine shows. when i max out the difficulty level and do it for an hr it counts on avg 900 calories. its killer but with the martial arts training ive had over the years I’m able to do it!

I know its doable and im not starving at all..just extreme an extreme workout!

    A couple of things.

Don’t avoid carbs altogether. Your body NEEDS them - just in moderation.

And, second - I agree with the comments above. Your plan is very dangerous. You may not FEEL starved - but neither do the kids in third-world countries - their bodies have learned to adapt, but that doesn’t make them healthy…

Admirable goals, however, you state “…then avoid carbs and stick to veggies and protein” followed by “By the time i get home i will have my strawberry banana smoothie”..[all sugar/carbs]..in any case, best of luck..My sugg, eat 5-6 small meals a day to keep your metabolism fired up, drink more water and save the smoothie for a weekly treat.
